KENTUCKY UNITED WAYS

There are 21 United Way organizations advancing the common good in Kentucky - working toward real change at the root of our community's problems.  Each of these organizations is independent, separately incorporated, and governed by local volunteers.

Supporting statewide education initiatives and effective public policy will improve community conditions across the Commonwealth. United Way of Kentucky works every day to ensure that kids get a great start through early childhood education initiatives like United Way Born Learning Academies. We advocate for government policies that strengthen Kentucky families and communities. We provide local United Way organizations with the resources and training opportunities they need to better serve you, right in your neighborhood.

ADVOCACY

Because government is a critical decision-maker and the major provider and funder of health and human services, United Way actively engages in public policy to ensure all Kentuckians have the opportunity to achieve better health, a quality education and financial stability.

In Summer 2020, United Way of Kentucky joined forces with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System as our Official Workforce Education Partner to spotlight the many ways KCTCS serves as Kentucky's primary provider of workforce education!
